One of my earliest flights was also on Air Rhodesia. I was a student in the late 70's in Johannesburg and as a lark during vacation week I, along with a few friends, hitch-hicked from JNB to Victoria to see Victoria Falls. It was at the height of the civil war and we were, in retrospect, completely nuts to do it.
Not wanting to bum rides back down south we booked a trip from Victoria to either Salisbury or Bulawayo (I cannot recall) on an Air Rhodesia 707. I do remember there being less than 10 pax on the flight.
