A week ago I returned from Lucca, Italy and now I have time to describe the hotel:
Excellent new hotel in the heart of Lucca, built in a historic palace. I was here for 5 days and my room was upgraded with SNA (I'm Bonvoy Titanium), although the hotel was full.
The Aria apartment was extremely comfortable, with a very comfortable bed and a large bathroom. Overlooking both adjacent squares - Giglio, Napoleone.
The hotel itself is located in the center of Lucca, and everything in Walled City is within walking distance.
We were by car, it had to be left in one of the parking lots outside the old town - there is about a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Especially for loading and unloading luggage, they gave a special permit for the ZTL (The area with limited traffic) area for 15 minutes, but we did not take advantage.
The service was also exceptional and all the hotel staff were very polite and willing to help.
We also had breakfast - assisted buffet - very good with a wide variety of dishes.
The hotel also has a rooftop bar, not very large but with a beautiful view of the city. Unfortunately it is not officially open yet and you can just pick up cocktails from the main restaurant and go upstairs
During my stay the hotel was full and this led to several minor service problems caused by a staff shortage - slow breakfast, late room cleaning, but I think in the current situation affected by the Covid crisis this is normal and not a problem for the hotel.
Overall, I highly recommend it and if we have another trip to Lucca we will definitely visit it again !
