I'm not that old but I'll chime in on what I was told by my parents. My first flight was in 1989 to MIA or FLL to see my grandparents. It was an AC 747 and I was very young. Maybe a 3-4 weeks old.
My first memory of flying is being on a CP or Air Canada flight to YUL from YYZ when I was about 5-6 and getting a Deli Sandwich with a little "Chocolair" bar on the side. I remember having ear pain on the desents and then feeling the wheels hit the ground. I also remember being at YYZ Terminal 3 checking in for a flight on Canadian. We would put the luggage into these grey trays and they would go right down a ramp into the sorting area.
Those are my earliest memories of airline flights.
