Correct. If you misconnect due to weather on your first segment (assuming everything is booked under one ticket), AA will rebook you for the next available MIA-MCO flight (which could be a while if there is a significant weather issue in MIA). I would not expect any hotel accommodation on AA's behalf. I was a MIA regular until earlier this year, and I would never book a 1hr35min international-domestic connection. In the last year I've waited 45+ mins for bags after clearing immigration in MIA. Frankly, that's close to my comfort window for a domestic connections in MIA. But, if it's within the MCT and it's your only possible option, then you do what you need to.
