Be careful what you order and set your expectations low

BLUF / tl;dr: Read the text, ignore the pictures.

Well, this popped up for our scheduled LAX-GEG later evening flight, so I thought, let's try it.

As an infrequent AS flyer, this looked like a great option since I wasn't sure whether we'd either have time to get food prior to the flight or if LAX Terminal 6 would have much open/available with our departure at 8:20 pm.

Here's my purchase engagement:

1. The solicitation:
2. Correct flight for food:
3. The pitch:
4. Who's it for:
5. Confirming who gets the food (screen 1):
6. Confirming who gets the food (screen 2):
7. Order(s) placed:

The less than satisfying results:

0. Had to prompt the FA to remind them that I'd placed the order.

1. The box - a bit smaller and plainer than I expected:
2. Obligatory hashtag:
3. The opening ("Huh?"):
4. The contents ("That's all? This doesn't look like the picture I remembered..."):



Where I went wrong - gotta read the text and ignore the pictures.

So, in summary, images aside, AS's food offerings, while nice to be able to order ahead of time, really aren't worth it.
