This formulation is very rarely used on international flights.
OP: Yes, this has become a question for the AC forum. Aeroplan is apparently moving to "more intuitive" dollar-based earnings later this year, but that change doesn't seem to have taken effect yet. And it looks like UA and AC should both earn 150% of the distance flown.
What was your route, and what were you credited?
