What you need to ask yourself is how will you get yourself to the QR check in desk if one or both of those flights is cancelled or delayed. At least if you travel the night before and the flight then is cancelled you can get the overnight Stena Line with the Rail and Sail leaving Liverpool Street at 7.30pm arriving Amsterdam around 10am.

Another thing to bear in mind and I certainly don’t want this to happen but I don’t think anybody can say for certainty it won’t but what if the Dutch border is closed to Brits because foxtrot variant of covid is on wave number 5 highly averse to vaccines. As I said I REALLY don’t want that to happen but did we expect a ban on travel to the US to be in place for 18 months and if someone said to you last Christmas yup you’ll be fine to travel to thE USA in August ie 8 months time would you have doubted them?
