Normally fly direct from NCL which is around 15 mins from me and no hassle at all. But Emirates have nothing scheduled until November from there.
Why? Would you suggest that is too soon?
Giving yourself plenty of time because of the journey makes sense if you are travelling from Newcastle but there is no need to be there that early for checking in etc.
If traffic ends up in your favour and you arrive early I’d recommend grabbing some lunch elsewhere and give yourself two hours at the airport (assuming you are flying Ek18).
