Whew! I read the headline of this thread and I started to wonder how ORD could handle all that extra Chicago traffic.....

Way back in 1966, flying to Manila, a PAL ("Plane Always Late") flight I was on had to land at Midway due to headwinds. There ain't much there other than the runway, as I recall.
