5 A359 are coming from PR and will be based in FRA. All 17 A359 will operate from MUC. The new A359 deliveries that start 2023 will mostly be in MUC. The PR are supposed to cover the time the A346 were supposed to be there till 2025. The white tail B789 are to cover the retirement of the B744, which was supposed to happen in 2022-25 with new B779s coming in. SInce the B744 are defacto retired early and the B779 missing in action with a very uncertain timeline, the B789 deliveries are urgently needed.
