We had a pleasant stay of 9 nights here. Lounge open from noon to 9 pm. Having the ability to sit in the lounge makes a big difference - would be nice if they open it up earlier again and things fully go back to normal (makes it easier for lounge staff). The offerings were pretty much the normal ones, except that guests didn't go directly to the buffet, but were served by the very friendly lounge team (same at the breakfast buffet, which caused a bit of queues). Pools etc. were open pretty much as normal, but the steam room and icy cold pool were closed.

I took tennis lessons every day, Cristiano the coach is a very nice guy and good tennis player. They should buy him some new sweeping nets.

Our children enjoyed the kids club activities which were open from 2 to 7 p.m. The hotel organized babysitters through an external agency at affordable rates, and the babysitters did a good job. Transfers were also fine. The concierge team was always friendly and helpful, as was everyone else, including housekeeping staff.

We would gladly return.

However, one annoying thing is that we spent over € 10k (had two connecting rooms on the Imperial floor) and rather than crediting the points correctly, they clearly put everything on one of the two rooms and then instead of crediting the points for that room, they did it for the other room and credited zero points. Unfortunately difficult to imagine that that is just an inadvertent error. I e-mailed them, called, asked for the folio to be e-mailed to me (which the front desk agent promised when I checked out), but everything has been ignored and it has not been fixed. It's a shame that this leaves a sour taste for now on an otherwise very pleasant stay. I hope they can fix this soon, as the 3 x points promo is on and I am looking to use the points as some availability currently exists on a hotel where it is quite difficult to get award availability. (Also, these points should put me over the hump for Lifetime Diamond).
