August Stay
The hotel has reasonable potential in terms of rooms and location for people who decide to stay in a Hilton. Location, in las Letras Neighbourhood, is good but not spectacular. Too far away from Salamanca district or the business district.
It is not really a business friendly hotel. There is no proper desk, seat or working space.
Breakfast is very poor even for European standards. Service at breakfast is shocking even with low occupancy.
I thought staff attitude was poor. I know customer service in Spain is not great but some of the staff acted like they had better things to do. No managers to be seen.
I understand management and most of the staff come from the Prado Doubletree as they are owned by the same Group. I thought that the Doubletree (currently closed) was terrible value for money and I am afraid this option will go that way once things are back to normal. .
Housekeeping service was good.
At the moment rates are reasonable (so they are for most hotels in Madrid at the moment) but anything over 130 euro for s standard room (except for very high season) would not be a good deal.
