Could it be that the passport number in your AA profile does not match the passport number that you are entering?
(Assuming that your reservation has your AAdvantage number attached, in which case BA and/or IB can access your AA profile.)
Check that they match; it could be that your profile has an incorrect passport number, or even an expired passport, and needs to be updated.
