Spain (Canary Islands) Vaccination Entry Status

First post in a very long time and apologies if this is covered in another thread but I can't see anything. A bit of a tricky one to find a definitive answer on but if anywhere knows it will be here! Flying to TFS from LHR on Sep 11. My wife, being in Healthcare had her vaccinations very early on with second dose Jan 6. On various sources it says that entry to Spain requires proof of vaccination "within the last 8 months". Not sure why they say 8 months as this doesn't seem to be specified for other countries, just proof needed. Requested paper copy as Scotland doesn't have this electronically yet which is ridiculous. Further, to be absolutely sure thinking to do an antigen test which Canary Islands appears to accept, however Spain seems to be stipulating only LAMP/PCR is acceptable which contradicts Canary Island Tourist board site. Grateful for any advise as we'll do just about anything to make this thrice cancelled trip happen!
