Yes...I was able to get checked in and would have been allowed on the plane. However, due to extenuating circumstances, I ended up not going all the way to Dubai...I got to London and had them rebook me back home...the person I was meeting in Dubai was not able to depart on their flight and there was no reason for me to go to Dubai unless they were going. But, I was in the BA lounge in London when I rebooked and I had my connecting boarding pass in hand to get on the flight to Dubai.
