She would like to meet them at the gate in Atlanta, feeling it would be very reassuring to them. Will she be able to get a special assistance pass so that she can do this? If so, what does she need to do in order to arrange this?
If she requests wheelchairs at the time that she buys their tickets, can she be confident they will be available at both Rochester, New York, and Atlanta, both coming and going?
Unless the person can't take care of theirselves or there's no wheelchair pusher available (and they're willing to push one), no generally. I wouldn't suggest saying the 1st. It could give them grounds to say you might need an assistant to travel with you. The latter is the better way to go about asking as they're short staffed.
