I know theres a Four Season in Taormina now but I read its far from the center? Any help would be appreciated.
The biggest difference between the two properties is one is down by the sea/beach while the other one is up in town so I'd research if you have beach access through both properties, how you'd get back-and-forth and which location makes the most sense to start & end the day.

Added: I hadn't realized that the San Domenico was now a Four Seasons. When we stayed there we didn't find it inconveniently located. It's not inside the centro/pedestrian zone but it's only a 3 minute walk from there to Porta Catania where you enter the pedestrian zone. It is a lovely hotel.
