It was a sourdough boule from LaBrea bakery. I don't bake. The tomato was a surprisingly tasty heirloom one from WF. There's bacon under the tomato but agree...there should always be a big pile of bacon! I may have tasted a couple pieces thst didn't quite make it to the sandwich.

Today it is just a tomato sandwich for breakfast..no bacon. But what a beautiful tomato.
