Isn’t that the rule in general, that STEB bags are only valid while they start airside, and once outside the secure area are immediately void?
Only way to save time at that time is to drop it into check-in if expensive enough, I guess… wrap it in bubble wrap and wax paper, might do the trick (and sign the ‘fragile’ waiver, of course).

But seems alcohol is not allowed in Doha for individuals; it is listed under ‘Prohibited items’ on HIA’s site?
