Assistance with Qatar seat reservations booking via Avios
I have made a number of bookings on Qatar flights for October using Avios - mostly in business, and have spent an hour on the phone to Qatar making seat reservations, which I was able to do.
However, one of the bookings had to be made in Y due to a lack of miles availability, and Qatar have point blank refused to book me a seat - they are all paid reservations, which I have no issue with, but Qatar say they have no way of taking payment for this, and say I will have a seat assigned at the airport. No thank you... To clarify, I am more than happy to pay for a bulkhead!
No doubt when I call BA they will not be able to help. Anyone have any experience of this and if there is a work-around?
Otherwise I will can the entire trip and look elsewhere.
