Reasons I've had to call Alaska this year (maybe I'm just unlucky). These are top of mind:
- Miles from an Alaska flight (I did a same day change) never posted and the web rejected my efforts to submit online. Phone rep fixed and miles posted within a few minutes.
- Unable to do a same day change online (a totally different itinerary from when the miles didn't post) from a non-stop to a one-stop (LAX-ANC changed to LAX-SEA-ANC). Phone rep made the change without any issues.
- Called to apply GGU certificates to the first leg of a two-leg itinerary that already had the second leg upgraded at booking. I wanted to make sure the system wasn't going to burn a second set of the upgrades. I asked the phone rep if that was something I could have done online without calling and was told it was.
- My ANC-LAX round-trip in October (booked as non-stop each way) saw the non-stops disappear on the days I needed due to a schedule change and the web system wouldn't let me do anything, the system message said I had to call. I took a refund.
