So just used my residual Future Flight Credit on a little IAH-AUS flight I need for positioning.

Here's what's interesting about it. Had to call in to book it. It generated a brand new reservation code for the flight. And, here's the intriguing part--the agent who I booked with said if this new flight was cancelled I would get a FFC for the ticket amount with 1 year validity.

Edit: On "Method of Payment" it says "Travel Certificate"
