You will retain Platinum for 2022 without the spending for the MQD waiver, but will not receive 2022 choice benefits and you will be behind Platinum's who earned the MQDs or MQD waiver for Platinum
So if you want 2022 Choice benefits and value a higher place on the upgrade list, then get the MQD spend waiver this year.
