The new versions of LoJack include the operator’s ability to access current vehicle location, location history, and top speed data. I think the LoJack comparison is fair. The old LoJack version (“classic”) didn’t that feature. What is appealing about the Apple system is the large free mesh network. As to getting the police assistance in recovering the stolen items, they are amazingly cowardly. Snatch and grabs can be deemed “civil.” They pretend that probable cause requires proof positive, etc.
