Longbottom Bloody Mary menu (GFL)
Was pleased to find that there are finally new items on the menu. Still strictly street food, but at least there is now a tasty Jamaican chicken, which saved me from having to order the cheese pizza from the children's menu again.
New to me, although maybe I had just never noticed it before, was a special Bloody Mary menu, courtesy of a vegan mixer producer called Longbottom. Nice initiative, so I tried one, but couldn't get beyond the first sip. I know that in the air, one has to bring one's own Tabasco and celery salt to get a decent Bloody Mary out of BA, but I had greater hopes for this one. I do realise that Worcester sauce is not vegan, but I have never before been served a Bloody Mary tasting only of alcohol and chilli — not even a hint of saltiness, acidity, or umami. And of course, one daren't even go back to the bar anymore to ask for some lime and Worcester sauce. So I left the whole thing behind, with regret over BA having made an attempt to spice up the menu and me not having found it within me to appreciate it.
