It definitely started the stay off on the wrong foot when we pulled up and the doorman said "No valet parking due to Covid. You can self-park in Embarcadero 1." Really tired of Covid being used as an excuse for cost-cutting.
The valet parking cut definitely sounds frustrating, especially for SF. Maybe the Hyatt Regency would have been better (though that hotel is nothing special either). Sounds like the elite treatment was actually good at this LM though (which has not been my experience with US LMs).
