Can Diamonds get no-smoking room when website shows smoking only?

I will be Diamond in 2005 and am looking forward to it, primarily hoping that being Diamond will potentially open up rooms in otherwise booked up hotels (though I understand from other threads this doesn't always happen, e.g., if there's a big convention or special event in town).

Can Diamond also open up a non-smoking room in advance, where the web-site shows only smoking rooms available? ( I'm trying to book a Hilton London Park Lane room next July and only smoking comes up on one set of my dates, both for queen and king bed rooms, whereas non-smoking comes up on another set of dates which I already booked so I know they have non-smoking rooms. I wouldn't expect with a 1-2 day notice for them to be able to find me a non-smoking room in a "sold out" hotel, but wonder if the Diamond desk could create non-smoking availability just like they open up rooms.

I suppose a lot depends on how many rooms/what kind of rooms a hotel holds back for Diamonds (if any).
