It can sound strange, but sometimes people do something for others even if they don’t have to. Isn’t that what good service supposed to be about anyway? To do things beyond the bare minimum?
I’ve had a property cancel and refund my one night stay day of when a flight was cancelled and re-booked on next day flight.
I’ve also waited to check in line at a property when someone who already checked in asked if they could cancel the rest of the stay because they got bad family news and had to leave. Front desk refunded them the entire stay.
