Maybe too much of a tangent, but I’m curious, who are these customers who hold sway over a company’s travel policy? I hear this thrown around a lot, but I’m having a hard time imagining this play out in reality. Most companies either give their employees leeway to choose their flights or impose policy based on cost. Not to mention that many markets these days are hub-captive. Furthermore I’m having a hard time imagining one capricious executive having enough sway over travel policy to use their political capital towards influencing travel policy.
