Well fortresses New Zealand is planning to open to medium risk country’s from early Q1 2022. So hopefully Australia will follow suit soon, the hardest part will be getting all of the states being on the same page to re-opening.
The airlines can say what they like. The only certainty now is when you have arrived at where you want to go. It’s not even certain when you hold a Boarding Pass prior to departure.
