Lunch yesterday at Cedric’s Tavern on the grounds of the Biltmore estate. They bring fresh pickles to your table along with ice water. I could not place the flavor, but they are quite unique.

Me: 1/2 pound burger cooked medium. Lettuce, onion, tomato, ketchup, fries.
Mrs BV: Spring garden tart (tomato, mushroom, red pepper, gruyere cheese, pickled mustard seeds), green salad.

No alcoholic beverages because we had an appointment for a wine tasting to follow.

Tasted a Rosè, Sauvignon blanc, Malbec, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Tempranillo. The Malbec was the best of the bunch.
