Actually, should I have to travel out and return, although living in Bangkok, I would seriously consider the sandbox for returning to Thailand for the sole reason of being able to be outside for the duration. That said, the decision would be contingent on being able to fly to Bangkok after the two weeks.
I think it's quite likely that normal domestic flights will be back in September, but I definitely wouldn't bet money on it. But yeah, Phuket in particular is a whole lot more comfortable than being cooped up in a Bangkok hotel room. I just have to figure out if it's worth the delay if I return after I get my vaccination before I'm counted as vaccinated by the Thai Govt, or whether I should just go and get it over with in Bangkok.
