Even with the information the OP offers (he is for instance not really interested in whatever lounge may be provided, so take that out of the equation), I would choose LH F over EK even taking the $1500 difference in fare into account.
Although one may get 'more' food in EK J, the quality of that food is acceptable but nothing to get excited about. One full 'F quality' meal (including caviar service) plus a few snacks would certainly do fine for me on a 12 hour flight. And is the 'quality' of the wines on EK J really better than on LH F? I doubt it.
It's a very long time ago that I flew LH F (almost 12 years ago to be honest) but unless it has gone down a lot I would spend the additional $1500 for it.
