If there had been a Guest Seat upgrade it would be 29K, sadly not available. There weren't even any Value Business seats available just Choice an dChoice Plus.
If I opted for a Bid Upgrade the minimum amount available was AED4000+ cash or 120,000+ miles, so 40K miles at check in was a steal for a guaranteed upgrade.
