Hi all sorry for this rookie question.

Like most everyone else I have flown a lot less this last 2 years and lost my miles and points MOJO.

So, my question is.... My plus points expire 1-31-2022 (also some that expire 1-31-2023 for some reason, but that's not the question)...

Anyway... is that the date they need to be applied by or the date the flight needs to go by? in other words can I buy a ticket for next summer and apply the points that expire 1-31-2022?? I don't really see that addressed in the FAQ's...
