I'll make sure that I bring my running shoes next time I stay there as that looks very drinkable.
Speaking of exercise, unless I am very much mistaken the Roosevelt has, or had, a reciprocal agreement with the New Orleans Athletic Club and so I went a few years ago. This is a legacy men's club built in the late 1800s with craftmanship that I bet could not be duplicated today. The pool and locker room are marble, for example. These kinds of exclusive men's clubs are not only abhorrently non-PC, but they are no longer sustainable. During a pre-work out tour, the membership director told a story about how the bylaws required that each and every member had to agree to change the membership requirements and one old hold-out in his late 80s refused to cave because he liked to swim naked in the pool. But when after years of cajoling failed he was presented with what his monthly membership fees would increase to and so..."let the ladies in" he agreed.
