I had a GS on an upgrade *TRY* to get me bumped out of my Paid International FC 1A seat on an hour flight a couple years ago.
The gate agent, supervisor and UA who sent me a $200 credit and an apology were all on my side.
I hope whatever agent did the swap got into heaps of trouble for it too.
