Actually, I was going to post don't bother with Perth on NYE!
A few places have fireworks, like Burswood and one of the race tracks, but I think they save the major fireworks display for Australia day.
Young people tend to pub crawl around the Northbridge area, and listen to live bands on an outdoor stage set up in the area.
