As others have said you can't no-show, but I believe there is one more option, which is to change the ticket on arrival in LHR - after departure from the US but before the departure to LIS. This *might* be cheaper than changing it beforehand. However that would very much depend on the precise fare terms, what you want to change it to and what availability is on the day.
