Hi all - had a quick question. I booked a round trip from US to Lisbon, and I have a few hour layover in Heathrow. I was thinking of just missing the connection from Heathrow to Lisbon, and booking a flight to a different city than the Lisbon. This would allow my party to 1) have an easier itinerary as we can travel to another European city from Heathrow, and end in Lisbon before we go back to the US, 2) save us some time (5 - 10 hours) as we would have a shorter layover and save time/money by not having to return to Lisbon
I guess my questions are:
- If we miss the connection, will our return flight from Lisbon back home be canceled automatically?
- If yes to #1 above, can we inform BA that we plan on not taking the connection flight, so our return flight does not get canceled?
- Any other options available to us besides having to fly into Lisbon?
if im informed correct and I am not wrong you booked a ticket from the US to Lisbon, so you get a ticket to Lisbon..
that in mind its:
its a yes to 1 unless you miss the flight not on purpose. but then you have to fly to Lisbon on a later flight.
2. no, unless you convert it to an FTV.
