This would allow my party to 1) have an easier itinerary as we can travel to another European city from Heathrow, and end in Lisbon before we go back to the US, 2) save us some time (5 - 10 hours) as we would have a shorter layover and save time/money by not having to return to Lisbon
I guess my questions are:
- If we miss the connection, will our return flight from Lisbon back home be canceled automatically?
- If yes to #1 above, can we inform BA that we plan on not taking the connection flight, so our return flight does not get canceled?
- Any other options available to us besides having to fly into Lisbon?
1. yes if you noshow outbound flights the return flights are cancelled.
2 and 3 You cant just inform BA and have them protect the return for free, thats not possible.
However you can pay to change to alternative flights or pay to change to oneway.
