Looking at a weekend stay in October on points. Envoy is a slightly better value Point redemption, but wondering which hotel is better for a leisure stay. Wondering what upgrade options and likelihood would look like for a Plat (might be Titanium by then). Would also consider SNA usage if worth it. Assuming the breakfast benefit will be better at W unless someone knows otherwise. Thanks in advance.
Envoy has great views of the financial district and interesting room layout. It's trendy and hip. The location is not the most convenient for leisure visits, but there is a Silver Line stations just around the corner. If you're one of those people who prefers to Uber everywhere, then this all doesn't really matter. The thing I didn't like about the place is probably not an issue during the current times. (The rooftop bar brings in partiers. The lobby can be a bit "crowded and louded" in the evening. Not my old man "get off my lawn" cup o' tea.) If there's anything that makes you consider the Envoy, it's going to be the view.
