I didn't realize that SG is allowed to keep its own tail livery instead of the Star Alliance logo. I was perusing *A photos at Airliners.net and all the other carrier's seem to put the *A logo on the tail. Furthermore, "Singapore Airlines" is placed right in front of and at the same level of the "Star Alliance" lettering. Everyone else places their name on the lower half towards the front of the plane.

So is Singapore getting preferential treatment? It has been alluded that SQ likes to think of themselves as the "star" in Star Alliance and everyone else should be grateful that they are a partner. It would make sense to make the *A branding livery consistent.
