I was able to book 5 nights next Feb under the wide-open availability spree last week. Was quoted 40K XPF for an upgrade to overwater but, honestly, I'm consider paying to upgrade to the Horizon View Suite since its likely half the cost and I don't want to pay $900/night+ to the overwater pool views. Has anyone stayed in a Horizon View before? Thoughts? We've stayed at the Conrad Maldives and the base overwater view into the open water feels similar to the Maldives while the Horizon Pool Suites are supposed to be more private and having amazing, elevated views.

Also, I have 4 nights prior to our Conrad stay to figure out. My initial thought was to stay at the Hilton Moorea but there is no points availability. I can use Citi 4th night free and get an overwater villa there for about $2750 for the 4 nights. My other thought was to stay at the St. Regis Bora Bora to experience the lagoon (since you don't get that at the Conrad). Does anyone have any thoughts on those two options - I know there is more to do on Moorea.
