I had a three night stay at the Conrad NY Downtown last week. Two rooms, one for me and one for my non-status son. I got a $25x2 per day credit on my bill. The continental breakfast on the menu was $24 for a basket of toast and pastries, very nice fresh fruit plate, juice, and coffee or tea. So, forgetting the tax and tip, you'd cover the normal Diamond breakfast benefit. Based on this experience and the stories above it seems Hilton calibrated this benefit change much better for the high end than they did for HGIs and other brands. Still, I do hope this is all temporary.
