I'm thinking of booking flights using Southwest points and was wondering if trip delay insurance from Chase cards cover this since the fare won't be paid using the card or Chase points but the $5.60 tax portion will be paid using the card. My understanding of the Amex Platinum terms is that 100% of the roundtrip airfare must be paid using the card to be covered but the language is vague for Chase.
