It's NW but...

Best I ever saw was $1,500 for an overbooked DTW-CDG flight about 6 years ago. $1,500 PLUS business seats same day via LGW. I guess they were having trouble getting volunteers due to an extremely large group on board.

Best I ever got was $1,000 for DTW-STL of all things! 757 with engine problem, swapped for a DC9! Needed over 50 volunteers. Bad weather too, so obviously things were a bit out of sorts. The $1,000 was due to the number of volunteers needed plus the anticipated 48 hour delay.

Best part was, I did DTW-MEM-MSP-STL and only got in about 8 hours late
