Creating a dedicated thread for IHG's first Regent in the Middle East, Regent Riyadh.

This property was initially announced as the 218-room InterContinental Riyadh KAFD in 2012, along with a neighboring 225-room Hotel Indigo. Both hotels were built but not fitted out, and delayed into oblivion along with the entire King Abdullah Financial District, but construction picked up again in 2020 with both hotels to be rebranded; the InterContinental is becoming a Regent, and the Indigo a Kimpton.
