Was at Hertz LAX on Monday, Aug. 2 around 1:30 pm. It was pure insanity. More customers than ever before on the lot. Of course, Thrifty & Dollar are there now but never seen anything like it. Gold Board had many more customers (but still not completely full) than since March 2020 but I've seen it flip through 2 or 3 times full of names before so these are mostly leisure travelers without status. There was even a line outside the Gold office which I have rarely seen.
Had the same experience on Friday, Jul. 30th. It's probably been posted somewhere but the LAX shuttle situation was a mess. If you're standing at a terminal past T2, the bus just drives by. I arrived at T4 around midday and it was the typical chaos but hertz simply didn't have enough shuttles running compared to the other companies. I ended up walking from T4 to T2 and watched us just drive by the other terminals. The huge line was all for thrifty and dollar (which I think have their own shuttles that you can take?), I waited in the hertz line for 5 mins
