Contained all of the expected “Covid documentation warnings” - including a new requirement for pax departing Australia to have had a PCR test within 72 hours which was only introduced yesterday (and which won’t be an issue me as the UK requires one anyhow).
But I was curious as to whether the invitation to activate Auto Check in to be checked in 48h in advance still functions in these times?
Obviously given what needs to be verified these days you’d still need to present to a Check In Desk so I am wondering if there is any point in activating the Auto Check In button?
Are there any advantages to do doing ?
(Confirmation to the airline that you still intend to travel?)
Or is there simply no point?
Thanks in advance.
Hi
travelswithmybriefcase,
I'm just back from a MEL-SIN-LHR-SIN-BNE and I'm pretty sure that when I tried that online check-in option (for the return sectors to ensure I *was* checked-in as early as possible) I was informed that the option wasn't available and I needed to check-in at the airport.
YMMV
